Project description

The house is a sanctuary of warmth and tranquility, with a private, introverted design that emphasizes a central courtyard. The courtyard provides fresh air, light, and greenery, while shielding the interior from outside views, creating a serene retreat for residents. The orange grove and ablution space further enhance the ambiance with the scent of citrus and a sense of purity. Key living spaces, including the master bedroom and main living area, overlook the courtyard, fostering a connection to nature and light.

The functional layout is organized around a central axis, with the courtyard extending into spaces like the garden, pond, and seating area. The building entrance is positioned to maintain privacy, while the intermediate space connects main sections with staircases and elevators. The basement provides an independent entry, while the ground floor accommodates family rooms with balcony access.

Sustainability Features:

  1. Shade Creation: Through building form variations, terraces, canopies, tree shade, vertical meshes, and automated curtains.
  2. Air Circulation: Using opposite openings, wind catchers, corridors, and water features to enhance natural airflow.
  3. Energy Efficiency: Utilizing a Building Management System (BMS), double-walled structures, a double-skin façade, solar panels, and high thermal capacity materials for temperature control.

This introverted design and sustainable approach embody key elements of Iranian architecture, enhancing both comfort and environmental harmony.
